Blinken tells Ukraine U.S. will provide another $2 billion in military financing

Congress and President Biden, respectively, approved and signed into law $60 billion in such aid to Ukraine, which has been trying to defeat the Russian invasion that started in February 2022.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday in Ukraine the United States will provide the war-torn country with an additional $2 billion in foreign military financing.

However, it's unclear from a wire service report on the statement from where exactly is the money coming.

Congress and President Biden, respectively, last month approved and signed into law $61 billion in such aid to Ukraine, which has been trying to defeat an invasion by Russia since February 2022.

Blinken was speaking at a joint press conference in the capital city of Kyiv with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. He said the money would be aimed at investing in Ukraine's industrial base, according to Reuters.
