Teen arrested in hacking of Biden, Musk's Twitter accounts

The hacking is allegedly tied to a cryptocurrency scam

Authorities in Florida on Friday reportedly charged a 17-year old male in connection with the recent hacking of Twitter accounts belong to Elon Musk, Presidential candidate Joe Biden and others.

The suspect as been identified as Graham Ivan Clark, of Tampa, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Clark was arrested and charged as an adult in connection with the July 15 incident, in which the accounts were taken over to promote a cryptocurrency scam.

The accounts of entertainer Kanye West and former President Obama also were hacked. The scam reportedly netted the perpetrator or perpetrators about $100,000.

Clark faces 30 felony charges related to the hack, according to a statement from the office of Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren, obtained by The Journal.

Clark couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
