President Biden appeared to read the word "pause" on the teleprompter in a speech at the North American Building Trades Unions (NABTU) 2024 Legislative Conference.

"Imagine what we could do next. Four more years, pause," Biden said on Wednesday.

The audience chanted, "Four more years."

The incident drew comparisons on social media to actor Will Ferrell's character Ron Burgundy reading a question mark on the teleprompter in the film Anchorman. The news director then shouted to the control room staff, saying, "Anything you put on that prompter, Burgundy will read!"
