Former President Donald Trump, who has been permanently banished from Twitter, recently added a section on his website that features a feed of his statements, but when a Twitter user created an account to share the content from Trump's new feed, the social media giant suspended the account.

"As stated in our ban evasion policy, we’ll take enforcement action on accounts whose apparent intent is to replace or promote content affiliated with a suspended account," a Twitter spokesperson told NBC News in a statement.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller told the outlet that the account had not been created by, or with permission from, anybody affiliated with Trump.

On the section of donaldjtrump.com headlined "From The Desk of Donald J. Trump," each post includes options to share to Facebook or Twitter. In addition to various text statements, the feed also includes a video post and a post with a graphic.

According to an image of the now-suspended "@DJTDesk" account, it had a biography stating: "Posts copied from Save America on behalf of the 45th POTUS; Originally composed via DonaldJTrump/Desk. *Note: Not Donald J. Trump Tweeting."
