The electronic voting company Smartmatic has reached a settlement with the One America News Network after it sued the network for reporting on false allegations that the company had altered the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Full details of the settlement have not yet been released.

“Smartmatic has resolved its litigation against OANN through a confidential settlement,” attorney Eric Connolly, who is representing Smartmatic, said in a statement released on Tuesday.

Smartmatic had sued OANN in 2021. According to the lawsuit, “as other news organizations publicly acknowledged that they had seen no evidence to support claims of election fraud or of voting machines switching votes, OANN mocked those news organizations and doubled down on its attacks on voting machines. OANN knew its assertions about Smartmatic were not true. OANN had seen no evidence to support the assertions. But OANN chose to spread disinformation.”

There are two other similar lawsuits that Smartmatic brought against Newsmax and Fox News, which are still outstanding.
