Multiple Republicans including former President Donald Trump have expressed support for protecting IVF.

Former President Donald Trump said that Republicans are leading the fight to protect access to in vitro fertilization (IVF), in response to a statement from Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“Gavin Newscum, the failed Governor of California, who is allowing his once beautiful State to go to Hell, refuses to recognize that Republicans are the Leader on I.V.F (Fertilization),” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social Friday.

Earlier this year, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos for the in vitro fertilization process are children and have the same rights as “unborn children."

Multiple congressional lawmakers argued the ruling goes too far and that the process that helps women have children should be protected.

Newsom referred to the IVF ruling as a “war on women" that Republicans were pushing.

Many Republicans, including former President Trump, have expressed support for protecting IVF.

“We are the ones taking care of Women, and now, after 53 years, where both Parties and all Legal Scholars and Experts wanted the always difficult and contentious subject of Abortion to go back to the States, we got it done, and now the States are setting their own Rules and Regulations – and it’s really working!” Trump’s TRUTH post added.
