The U.S. job market last month added 175,00 jobs, and the unemployment rate increased slightly to 3.9%, signs analysts say shows the domestic economy is cooling slightly.

Still, the figures release Friday by the Labor Department show that unemployment has remained below 4% for the 27th consecutive month.

Wall Street economists expected non-farm payrolls, or non-farming jobs, to rise by 240,000 and the unemployment rate to remain at 3.8%, according to Bloomberg data.
