Video shows NYPD lowering Palestinian flag, raising American flag at City College campus

The NYPD reportedly arrested about 100 people for occupying Hamilton Hall at Columbia University and 70 people for camping out at City College

Video circulating on social media shows New York City police officers lowering the Palestinian flag and raising the US flag at City College in New York, where anti-Israel protests broke out Tuesday night.

Such protests have been taking place for weeks now on college campuses across the country.

The protest at City College overnight reportedly expanded when demonstrators were removed from nearby Columbia University.

The New York Police Department reportedly arrested roughly 300 people Tuesday night on the Columbia and City College campuses, including roughly 100 who occupied Hamilton Hall at Columbia.

There were about 70 people arrested at City College, according to reports.
