Tristan Leavitt, the president of "Empower Oversight," says that an appeal was recently filed on behalf of FBI whistleblower Marcus Allen regarding his security clearance.

"Recently, I filed an appeal on his security clearance," Leavitt said on the Friday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

"We had earlier in the spring before this hearing, when I testified with him.....we had filed an appeal with the Department of Justice Inspector General, which hears the retaliation cases on security clearances. But the FBI has its own process," he continued.

Marcus Allen was one of the whistleblowers that lost his security clearance after speaking out against alleged FBI corruption.

"This move to take his clearance was purely in retaliation for him making a disclosure about FBI Director Chris Wray testifying on the Hill leaving the impression that there were no FBI informants there on January 6, when we now know that's clearly inaccurate," Leavitt said.

"Someone testified before the House Judiciary Committee recently that there were so many, the FBI had to do an audit to keep track of all those who had been there," he later added. "So for Marcus Allen to have his clearance stripped of him just for raising this issue is really outrageous."
