Legendary TV broadcaster Roger Mudd has died at the age of 93
The two-time Emmy winner was associated with the biggest stories of the 60s and 70s for CBS News.
Roger Mudd served as a reporter and news anchor, often substituting for Walter Cronkite, from 1961 to 1981. He was associated with the biggest news stories of the 1960s and 70s, covering the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, and Watergate for CBS.
He later was co-anchor with Tom Brokaw for NBC News, and still later with PBS, all during his nearly 50 years on the air. Mudd was the recipient of two Emmy awards.
He passed away on Tuesday from kidney failure at his home in McLean, Virginia
