Prince Harry, actor Matt Damon, chef Jose Andrés speaking at this year's Clinton Global Initiative
Prince Harry, actor Matt Damon, and World Central Kitchen founder Jose Andrés are part of the lineup at the 2024 Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting scheduled for Sept. 23 and 24 in New York City.
The Clinton Foundation announced the special guests on Thursday, which also include Jennifer Granholm, U.S. Secretary of Energy and Laurene Powell Jobs, founder and president of Emerson Collective and widow of the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
The theme of this year's CGI annual meeting is “What’s Working” in efforts to combat "climate resilience, global health equity, gun violence, the protection of journalists, humanitarian crises, and other pressing global challenges."
Former President Bill Clinton said this year's meeting would “double down” on the progress made in areas including climate crisis, global health and gun violence.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the Clinton family is "inspired by the undoubtable impact of the CGI community – 500 million people affected through programs, partnerships, and solutions that are addressing our climate crisis, economic disparities, equality for women and girls worldwide, and more.”
