Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, wife to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, says she is eager to "clear up misconceptions" with the Democrat-led Jan. 6 committee, as the panel seeks her testimony.

Thomas made the statement Thursday as committee Chairman Bennie Thompson publicly stated members "at some point" might invite her to speak with them.

Thomas was at rally prior to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot on the Capitol Building. However, the committee more recently appears to be focused on alleged emails between her and then-President Trump lawyer John Eastman, who was advising Trump on the results of the 2020 election that Trump lost.

"I can’t wait to clear up misconceptions," Thomas told the Daily Caller. "I look forward to talking to them."

According to Thompson, the panel "discovered" information in the Thomas-Eastman emails, which at this time remain in discovery phase, according to Politico.

Thomas' invitation to testify will arrive "soon," Thompson also said.

The Daily Caller has obtained a letter from the committee date Thursday officially asking Thomas to talk to the panel.

Also on Thursday, Eastman published at least one of the emails on the online publishing platform Substack.

Thomas has a long history of conservative activism, which has raised concerns among some, considering her husband's position on the highest court in the land.

The committee held its third hearing on Thursday, which focused on the role former Vice President Mile Pence played on Jan. 6, and the pressure he faced from members of the previous administration to overturn the election.
