Florida Republican Rep. Kat Cammack is challenging Vice President Kamala Harris to a one-on-one basketball game, with Harris visiting the U.S.-Mexico border if she loses.

Cammack noted that Harris, the border czar, hasn't visited the U.S.-Mexico border to see the situation up close as a record number of migrants month-after-month continue to be apprehended crossing into the U.S. this year.

"Somebody showed me a quick video of Vice President Harris shooting some hoops here recently, and she didn't look like she had much game," Cammack told Just the News after joining House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy and other GOP lawmakers to speak out against President Biden's effort to expand Title IX protections for gender identity.

"As a former basketball player who played for close to 10 years, I thought it might be a friendly wager, some one-on-one between the vice president and I on the court and if I win, she has to go to the border," Cammack said. "At the very least, we'll be able to have some fun. But more than that, we'll be able to have an honest conversation about women's sports, and then maybe even take it a step further after I win and she has to take a trip to the border."

Cammack argued that Biden is "prioritizing gender identity over biological sex" with his plan to expand Title IX protections to transgender individuals.

"We're talking about sports where there is a physiological difference between men and women, and you can get into a situation where this becomes dangerous. It's not just unfair, it's not unjust, it is dangerous in some of these sports," she said, noting that it is now the 50th anniversary of Title IX.

"We just heard from dozens of young women who have been athletes their entire life, they have sacrificed, they have trained, and they have had their titles, their podiums, their awards stolen from them because biological males have decided to participate in their sport at the 11th hour," she added.

Cammack charged that Biden's proposed rule change demonstrates that his administration "doesn't care about biological women."

She recently had a phone conversation with Caitlyn Jenner, who has been outspoken about this issue.

"Keep in mind, she participated in her sport as a biological male in the male category. She never participated in women's sports and so I think it's really just an issue of are we trained to be so politically correct and so woke, that we're willing to actually go backwards and regress?" she said.

Cammack added she views Biden's proposed rule change as one that strips women of their rights and denies biological women from competing "amongst her peers."
