South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is joining other GOP senators in calling for Senate leadership votes this week to be delayed.

Graham said Sunday that Wednesday's vote should be delayed until after the Georgia Senate runoff race is decided.

"In light of #GASen runoff, it would be appropriate to delay Senate leadership elections until we know who is in the Senate Republican Conference,” Graham tweeted. “I totally agree with Senator @TedCruz that to do otherwise would be disrespectful to @HerschelWalker."

Walker is trying to unseat Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock with runoff Election Day set for early December.

Several other GOP senators have also called for the leadership votes to be postponed, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who on Friday suggested in a tweet that his conference first has to evaluate and set some priorities and an agenda.
