House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Tuesday that Republican lawmakers are "concerned" about Wyoming Republican Rep. Liz Cheney's "ability to carry out the job as conference chair."

Cheney, the No. 3 House Republican, voted with House Democrats after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot to impeach former President Trump.

She since continued a public feud with Trump that has become a distraction for the GOP.

“I have heard from members concerned about her ability to carry out the job as conference chair; to carry out the message,  McCarthy also said on Fox News. "We all need to be working as one if we're able to win the majority.

"I haven't heard members concerned about her vote on impeachment. It's more concerned about the job ability to do and what's our best step forward that we can all work together instead of attacking one another."
