The FBI is investigating a suspicious package filled with unidentified white powder and images threatening violence against Republican Sen. Rand Paul.
The package was sent Monday to Paul's Kentucky home, according to Fox News. On the outside of the package was a picture of a battered and bruised Paul, with a gun pointed to his head and the message, "I’ll finish what your neighbor started you motherf------"
The message refers to a 2017 in which Paul was assaulted by his neighbor while doing yard work, breaking five of his ribs.
"I take these threats immensely seriously," Paul said Monday. "I have been targeted multiple times now."
On Sunday, American singer Richard Marx tweeted praising the neighbor who attacked Paul, saying, "I’ll say it again: If I ever meet Rand Paul’s neighbor I’m going to hug him and buy him as many drinks as he can consume."
Paul responded in his own tweet: "I have been targeted multiple times now, it is reprehensible that Twitter allows C-list celebrities to advocate for violence against me and my family!"
