House Republicans have recently been advocating for use of the Holman rule, which allows the House of Representatives to reduce the salary of specific federal officials. An amendment introduced by Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to reduce Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's salary passed the House this week.
