Well known journalist and commentator Bill O'Reilly predicted Wednesday that the trial regarding former President Donald Trump won't make it to a jury.

"It'll never get to a jury. It'll never get inside a courtroom," O'Reilly told the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

A grand jury in Manhattan has been soliciting testimony from witnesses, including disgraced former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, who alleges he arranged payments in 2016 to two women to silence them about sexual encounters they claimed to have had with Trump a decade earlier.

Cohen has pleaded guilty to crimes, served prison time, and was disbarred. He alleges that he arranged payments totaling $280,000 to porn actor Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal. Cohen claims the payments were hush money to buy the women's silence as Trump made his first run for office in 2016.

O'Reilly said the reason he speculates this case won't go far is due to the statute of limitations in New York.

"The statute of limitations on the alleged payoff to Stormy Daniels is gonna pretty much blow this whole case out of the water and that's why this fiasco was delayed today," said O'Reilly. "The grand jury was told to go home. I don't even think they came in."

He then criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the one probing this case, saying he isn't very intelligent.

"If you look at the filings, both the misdemeanor which is two years and the felony five years, they have expired," stated O'Reilly. "And Bragg, I don't think is smart enough to even understand what's going on."
