The leader of the extremely violent gang MS-13 has been added to the FBI's most-wanted list.

The FBI added Yulan Adonay Archaga Carias to their fugitive list Thursday, saying he is "armed and dangerous."

Carias has been charged federally for racketeering, cocaine importation, and possession of machine guns.

According to the FBI, Carias was the head of the Honduras branch of MS-13 and helped to bolster branches of the violent gang throughout Central and North America.

"Today’s announcement demonstrates the resolve of the FBI to aggressively pursue transnational criminal gangs like MS-13," Acting Assistant Director Jay Greenberg told reporters during a press conference.

"We will work with our law enforcement partners to find wanted fugitives like Archaga Carias wherever they seek refuge and hold them accountable for their crimes," he continued.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for any information leading to Carias' arrest.
