FBI Director Kash Patel announced Tuesday the agency is extraditing from Mexico a "senior leader" of the MS-13 gang.

Patel identified the person as Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, one of the FBI's “Ten Most Wanted” from Mexico.

"He was arrested in Mexico and is being transported within the U.S. as we speak, where he will face American justice," Patel wrote on the social media platform X.

The Trump administration has designated MS-13 as a terrorist organization.

Roman-Bardales faces charges  including racketeering conspiracy and conspiracy to provide support and resources to terrorists, according to CNN.
