The FBI is reportedly planning to search former Vice President Mike Pence's home in the coming days for classified documents, after he recently told Congress that his team discovered documents marked as classified in his Indiana home.

The Justice Department is discussing the scheduling of the search with Pence's legal team, sources familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal on Thursday.

Pence told the National Archives on Jan. 18 about the documents discovered in his Carmel, Indiana, home. He ordered the search of his home and office after news broke about President Joe Biden's improper storage of classified documents from his time as vice president.

The FBI has already searched Biden's homes and office, as well as former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.
