BREAKING: Minnesota governor 'fully' activates National Guard after more violent protests

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said Saturday that he will  “fully” mobilizing the state National Guard, after four straight nights of violent protests in Minneapolis and elsewhere across his state and the country over the death of George Floyd, who died after being arrested by police Monday.

Protests, including arson and looting, escalated Friday night, despite one of the officers involved in Floyd's being charged with murder and some National Guardsmen already activated in Minneapolis. 

A bystander video of the arrest, in which a policeman is seen kneeling on a handcuffed Floyd's neck while he says, "I can't breathe" has sparked protests in such cities as Atlanta, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City and Washington, D.C.
