NYC Democrat Mayor Adams fined $300 for violating rat-control ordinance at Brooklyn rental property

Adams, who previously embraced the title of rat murderer, has received three rat-related summonses over the rowhouse.

A New York City judge has ordered Mayor Eric Adams to pay a $300 fine for violating a rat-control ordinances at a rental property. 

The summons was for not putting recyclables in rodent-proof bins.

The judge in the case dismissing another summons related to pest control, saying Adams was trying to control infestation at the Brooklyn townhouse rental – citing evidence that he spent nearly $8,000 on extermination services, according to The New York Times.

Adams, who previously embraced the title of rat murderer, has received three rat-related summonses over the rowhouse. A judge dismissed the first summons in December.

Adams spokesman Fabien Levy said after judge's rulings this week the "mayor is grateful that one of the two summonses was dismissed, and he is reviewing the second decision. One decision is clear, however: The mayor still hates rats."
