Al-Qaida says media chief killed in Yemen drone strike
The CIA declined to comment on the attack, but it is known to have deployed drones in a similar manner before.
Al-Qaeda has confirmed that two militants in its Arabian Peninsula branch were killed last month in an alleged U.S. drone strike in Yemen.
Media chief Hamad al-Tamim was killed with another al-Qaida member when their home near the Yemeni city of Marib was hit by a suspected U.S. drone on Feb. 16, the Associated Press reported.
Al-Qaida posted a five-page obituary for the deceased group members on Sunday.
