Former Congressman Doug Collins, a close ally of Donald Trump in Georgia, urged the former president to spend more money on MAGA candidates in the Republican primary to oust incumbents Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

Collins predicted that the "next few weeks are going to be very difficult for Brian Kemp and for Brad Raffensperger" and Attorney General Chris Carr as more details emerge about the 2020 election in Georgia ahead of the June primaries.

"Just the News, Not Noise" cohost John Solomon asked Collins what supporters need to do to ensure that GOP challengers to the Georgia incumbents win the upcoming primaries.

"I know that the Trump campaign put in $500,000," Collins responded. "They actually need to add a couple of zeros to that, because you're fighting incumbents in each of these positions."

Besides donating more money, Collins said that "people need to know that they can make a difference" and they need to "go out and vote."

The former congressman said Kemp and Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan did not do enough to help ensure election integrity.

"I think it's gonna be very hard [for the governor's office] to explain that everything was okay," Collins said.

Gov. Kemp was confronted earlier this month about election integrity during a Fulton County Republican event.

"Kemp was terrible on election integrity — could not have been worse," Trump said on Saturday. "Vote for Perdue!"

Trump has endorsed former Sen. David Perdue against Kemp and former NFL star Herschel Walker for Senate.
