Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) declared a state of Emergency on Thursday in response to a continuing supply chain crisis.
He wrote in an executive order that despite success in fighting COVID-19, Georgia's supply chain has not recovered fully, CBS 46 noted.
The 5-page executive order allows for a temporary suspension of federal rules on the number of hours a commercial trucker may drive.
The directive also attempts to encourage more people to become commercial drivers.
