President Joe Biden encouraged people to donate to his campaign amid former President Donald Trump's arrest at the Fulton County jail in Georgia.

"Apropos of nothing, I think today's a great day to give to my campaign," Biden wrote on X, the platform previously called Twitter.

He included a link to his campaign for people to donate.

Trump and his 18 co-defendants named in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis's indictment last week have until Friday to surrender to county authorities.

Trump faces charges under the state's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, as well as charges of conspiracy, making false statements and soliciting a public official to violate their oath.

Many of the defendants have already turned themselves in, including former Trump election attorneys Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell and Jenna Ellis.

Trump turned himself in and was released soon after his arrest and booking.
