The Biden administration has reportedly launched a task force to probe how parts of drones made in the United States and the West have turned up in Iranian-made drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine.
U.S. intelligence discovered that the Kremlin plans to open a drone production factory in a deal with Iran, officials told CNN on Wednesday.

The drone initiative is especially urgent due to the large number of U.S.-made components that were recently manufactured.
However, China may be producing near-exact replicas of the western drone components and exporting them to the United States, according to a study from the Institute for Science and International Security published in October.
Iran faces sanctions and export control restrictions from the United States to prevent the Islamic Republic from obtaining materials that could be used in drones.
