Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Monday prevented tight end Travis Kelce from speaking to reporters during the team's visit to the White House.

Kelce posed with Mahomes and President Joe Biden holding a Chiefs jersey bearing the president's name and the number 46, referencing Biden's place in the list of American commanders-in-chief.

Shortly after doing so, however, Kelce approached the podium and prepared to make remarks, saying "I've been waiting for this-" before Mahomes rushes over and steers him away from the microphone, earning the laughter of those present.

The Chiefs visited the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win earlier this year.
