Andrew Tate accused of sexual violence, coercion, making $5m a month in pre-trial prosecution filing
Social media influencer Andrew Tate is accused of sexual violence and coercion in a pre-trial filing from Romanian prosecutors, who say the Tate brothers made around $5 million a month from various activities.
Hundreds of pages of testimony and transcripts reviewed Wednesday by the BBC feature multiple women detailing how Tate and his brother Tristan Tate allegedly abused them while forcing them to produce pornographic content.
The Tates are expected to challenge the evidence in a pre-trial hearing later this month. The brothers were indicted alongside two Romanian women in June on charges of human trafficking and organized crime. Andrew Tate faces a rape charge as well.
Prosecutors say several women lived in a building near the Tates' Bucharest home and that the defendants controlled their income from the pornographic content that they were forced to produce.
A transcription purportedly from an audio message in 2020 shows that Tristan Tate said he did not want the women to "have the passwords" or "anything" associated with their porn accounts.
"Mainly I'm going to slave these bitches," Tate said according to a translation of the filing in Romanian. "I'm going to make them work even more hours and hours and hours.. I work these bitches like slaves. […] SLAVE work. Minimum 10 or 12 hours a day."
Two of the women who prosecutors describe as victims said they did not share their income and they have publicly expressed support for the brothers.
Multiple women alleged Andrew Tate, perpetrated graphic sexual violence, per the filing.
For example, one woman who said she was raped by Tate also said that he slapped her face and threatened to get her pregnant and lock her in a house.
Andrew Tate has strongly denied all allegations of harming women and said in an interview with the British outlet earlier this year that the case was "completely fabricated."
Prosecutors also alleged in the filing that the Tate brothers do not appear to make money "from lawful activities" but have acquired "numerous properties," "15 of the rarest and most expensive cars," and other high-value items since 2018.
Online subscriptions, including the War Room and Hustler's University, appear to generate around $5 million a month in membership fees, according to prosecutors.
The trial may take years to reach a final verdict.
