Fox News Channel meteorologist Adam Klotz was beaten by a group of teens this past weekend in a Manhattan subway car after he tried to stop them from harassing another passenger, according to police and the victim.

Klotz, 37, said that incident occurred when he was traveling home early Sunday morning after watching a football game in a bar, according to his Instagram video, in which appears to have two black eyes.

He also said in the post the incident started with an older gentleman being hassled by a group of like seven or eight teens.

"I was like, 'Yo, guys, cut that out,'de And they decided, 'Alright, if he’s not going to get it, you’re going to get it.' And boy did they give it to me,” Klotz said. "They had me on the ground. My ribs are all bruised up, too. They got their hits in."

Three of the suspects, two 15-year-olds and one 17-year-old, were taken into police custody shortly after the attack, police sources told The New York Post.

"Juvenile reports were prepared, and their parents were called to pick them up," a New York Police Department spokesperson said.

Klotz had somewhat of a sense of humor about the attack.

"[W]hile the headline I just read, 'viciously beaten by teens,' is true, it’s doing way more damage to my ego than the physical beating did," Klotz tweeted.

One user online said it was "odd" that Klotz seems "to find this funny," to which the weatherman responded: "[I'm] not gonna go thru life angry."

Felony assaults are up 18.3% year to date compared to 2022, NYPD statistics show. However, the attack on Klotz was an apparent misdemeanor, according to the Post.
