Nearly four dozen fraternity brothers at the University of New Hampshire are under warrants for arrest due to an alleged hazing incident that occurred at the school late in the spring semester.
Police in Durham, New Hampshire, issued the warrants this week in connection with the April 13 incident that reportedly occurred at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon New Hampshire Beta chapter.
Student hazing is a misdemeanor in New Hampshire; each fraternity brother could face up to $1,200 in fines over the charges, while the fraternity may face up to $20,000 in fines.
Nearly a dozen of the brothers had already been arrested as of Friday, released and ordered to return to appear in court in mid-July.
The university had already suspended the fraternity in the wake of the alleged infraction.
