Most Americans would rather host Joe Rogan than Anthony Fauci for Thanksgiving dinner, according to a pre-holiday poll.

The poll was conducted earlier this month by the Atlanta-based Trafalgar Group. The survey found that 51.3% of respondents would rather invite Rogan, with 48.7% choosing Fauci, the country’s top infectious disease expert.

The two prospective guests recently were at odds over one treatment for COVID-19. Rogan, a podcast host, has said that he used Ivermectin to treat his own case of the virus. Fauci, who is also President Joe Biden's chief medical adviser, warned people against using the drug.

"There’s no evidence whatsoever that it works and it could potentially have toxicity," Fauci said while appearing on CNN. "Don’t do it."

The Trafalgar pollsters surveyed 1,092 people on which man they would rather host for Thanksgiving.

Broken down by political party, Republicans favored Rogan at 82.9%, while Democrats chose Fauci, at 83.1%. Independents picked Rogan, at 62%.

The margin of error is 2.97%, the group noted.
