NBA star LeBron James on Wednesday deleted a tweet that said "YOU'RE Next" and contained an image of the police officer who fatally shot a 16-year-old girl in Ohio on Tuesday.
The basketball player's now-deleted tweet also included an hourglass emoji and the hashtag "#ACCOUNTABILITY."
"I'm so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate — This isn't about one officer. it's about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY," James tweeted.
Authorities have identified the deceased as Ma'Khia Bryant and the officer as Nicholas Reardon. Someone in the video can be heard saying, "She had a knife. She just went at her."
