The family of deceased Washington Commanders quarterback Dwayne Haskins alleges he was drugged, blackmailed and robbed before his death in April 2022.

The allegations are being made in a suit filed on behalf of Haskins' parents and his wife, Kalabrya Haskins, according to The Washington Post

The suit was filed in Broward County, Fla., and argues the former NFL and Ohio State University player was drugged, blackmailed and robbed before he was fatally struck by a truck while trying to cross Interstate 595 in South Florida in the early morning hours of April 9, 2022.

The suit more specifically alleges that four people drugged Haskins, who was 24 at the time, to “blackmail and rob him, causing him and/or contributing to cause him severe injury and death," the newspaper also reports
