Dump truck strikes Ohio service vehicle, resulting in massive fireball, injuries
Worker was reportedly gathering equipment when truck hit.
An Ohio transportation worker was injured when a fast-moving dump truck struck his vehicle on the side of the highway, resulting in a major crash complete with a massive fireball.
The accident occurred just outside of Akron as the worker with the Ohio Department of Transportation had allegedly stopped to pick up a piece of equipment on the side of the road.
Surveillance footage from ODOT showed a large dump truck inexplicably veering off to its right, striking the vehicle and bringing about a massive conflagration.
An official with ODOT told media that it was “nothing short of a miracle” that the worker survived the incident.
