Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita announced a probe Wednesday into whether social media and other tech companies are limiting conservative content on their sites.

The companies Rokita will investigate are Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, and Twitter. The probe will look into methods the companies use regarding consumers' access to certain content, according to Fox News.

"In a free society, few assets are more important to consumers than access to information and the opportunity to express political viewpoints in meaningful forums," Rokita said. "It is potentially harmful and unfair for these companies to manipulate content in ways they do not publicly discuss or that consumers do not fully understand."

Rokita alleged that social media and big tech companies are "deleting and obscuring" content from people with a conservative worldview.

"Such manipulation prevents consumers from making informed choices," he said.
