Twitter CEO in leaked video says 'this is going to be much bigger than just one account'

"So the focus is certainly on this account and how it ties to real-world violence, but also we need to think much longer term around how these dynamics play out over time," Dorsey said.

Project Veritas released a video of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Thursday making statements which could indicate that the social media giant will take actions against more accounts in the wake of its announcement last week that it "permanently suspended" President Trump's account.

In the video, which Project Veritas said was provided by a "Twitter insider," Dorsey never specifically mentions the president's account, but the CEO refers to "one account" which Project Veritas identified as a reference to the president's now-defunct @realdonaldtrump account that Twitter put the kibosh on last week.

"We are focused on one account right now. But this is going to be much bigger than just one account and it's going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks" he said, noting that it will extend "beyond the inauguration. We have to expect that, we have to be ready for that."

"So the focus is certainly on this account and how it ties to real-world violence, but also we need to think much longer term around how these dynamics play out over time. I don't believe this is going away anytime soon and the moves that we're making today around QAnon, for instance, is one such example of a much broader approach that we should be looking at and going deeper on."

Dorsey noted that America "is extremely divided. Our platform is showing that every single day. And our role is to protect the integrity of that conversation and do what we can to make sure that no one is being harmed based off that."

During an interview on Thursday's episode of Fox News Channel's Hannity, Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe said that more footage is coming, including of Dorsey, "his vice presidents and Twitter top brass."

"The remarks shown in the video were delivered to our more than 5,400 employees and are nearly the same words Jack shared in a recent Tweet Thread offering context around and reflections on our work to protect the conversation in recent weeks," a Twitter spokesperson told Fox News.
