Much of Virginia on Friday saw rapid-fire back-to-back tornado warnings and severe weather threats as the remnants of Hurricane Nicole blew through the state and generated intense severe weather for a period of hours.

Weather officials dispatched a series of warnings throughout Virginia starting on Friday afternoon as radar indicated numerous rotations within storm clouds.

There were no official reports of touchdowns throughout the chaotic afternoon, though videos and images posted to social media purported to show funnel clouds extending at least partway to the ground from thunderheads.

Authorities on Friday and Saturday reported no confirmation of tornado damage or injuries.
