Former President Donald Trump announced he is testifying Wednesday in New York Democratic Attorney General Letitia James' probe of his business practices.

"In New York City tonight. Seeing racist N.Y.S. Attorney General tomorrow, for a continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in U.S. history! My great company, and myself, are being attacked from all sides. Banana Republic!" Trump posted on his platform, Truth Social.

The hearing comes just days after the FBI raided Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, reportedly in connection to classified documents sought by the National Archives.

The former president and his two eldest children, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., were scheduled to testify last month, but the hearing was postponed following the death of Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump.

Trump's testimony follows a subpoena by James' office. The family attempted to appeal the subpoena, but New York Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that the three must comply.

Initially, the former president fought the subpoena and was fined more than $100,000 for being in contempt of court for not providing documents requested by James. Judge Engoron lifted the contempt order after James' office said Trump provided documents that satisfied the court's orders.

Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. already testified in James' probe of the Trump Organization and the family's business practices, sources told The Associated Press.

James's investigation involves allegations that the Trump organization misled tax officials and lenders by misrepresenting the value of assets such as buildings and golf courses.
