Teeing up? Trump calls himself '45th and 47th' president, as net approval surges to +3 in new poll

In a video circulating Wednesday on online platforms, former President Trump can be heard confidently declaring himself to be "the 45th and 47th" president of the United States.

Trump, in his signature MAGA 45 cap, can be seen in the video beginning to play a round of golf when one of the members of the playing group says, "Now on the tee the 45th president of the United States."

"The 45th and 47th," Trump offered as a retort, grinning.

It was unclear as of Wednesday morning where and when the video was recorded.

The former president has continued to publicly toy with the idea of launching a third bid for the Oval Office.

The video surfaced at about the same time as the release of the January Harvard-Harris poll, which shows Trump with a net-positive favorability rating of 47% to 44%.

In sharp contrast, President Biden was 14 points underwater in the poll, at 39% favorable vs. 53% unfavorable.

Just 16% of Democrat voters said they would vote for Biden if he were to run against in 2024 — a higher number than any other named candidate in the poll, but lower than the 17% of respondents who said "someone else" and the 25% who said they were unsure.
