Michigan Rep. Bill Huizenga self-isolating following positive rapid COVID-19 test

"I am awaiting the results of a PCR test and I am self isolating until I have confirmed results," Huizenga tweeted.

Rep. Bill Huizenga said Wednesday that he tested positive for COVID-19 according to a rapid test and that he will isolate while waiting for the outcome of a PCR test.

"Earlier today, I was expected to appear with the Vice President. While taking part in offsite testing protocols, I took a rapid test that came back positive for COVID-19. I am awaiting the results of a PCR test and I am self isolating until I have confirmed results," the Michigan Republican tweeted.

The House is currently not in session, according to The Hill.

There have been more than 7.89 million cases in the U.S. and more than 216,000 deaths according to Johns Hopkins University.
