As anti-Israel and pro-Hamas demonstrations continue winning concessions on college campuses across the country, Sacramento State has become the first public university in California to cave to the protesters' demands regarding investments in companies that do business with or in Israel.

The school says it will no longer invest in companies that "profit from genocide, ethnic cleansing, and activities that violate fundamental human rights," according to ABC7 News.

The students were told the university currently has no direct investments and that they will be getting rid of approximately $4.5 million in indirect investments, according to the outlet.

In what the protesters are calling “a win,” after camping out for eight days on campus, one member of a group called Students for Quality Education said, "If this is possible on one campus we have raised the bar nationwide, internationally, and a message to all students: don't ask for anything less."
