Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk said that President Trump's stance on coronavirus lockdowns has proven beneficial during his reelection bid.

"The president is on the right side of these lockdowns," Kirk said during an interview Monday on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "The lockdowns have really hurt American families and I think the Democrats have completely misanalyzed this."

Kirk said Trump "is running as if he's challenging the incumbent, which he kind of is. He's challenging a predominant viewpoint," Kirk said, adding that the president is "challenging an orthodoxy. He's challenging a singular point of view that you must shut down your country."

Kirk said that he also believes President Trump will win voters ages 18-22 in some states. He predicted that Trump will perform "really well with younger voters in Wisconsin, in Ohio and in some of the Southern states."

But Kirk also noted that he does not expect Trump to "win the youth vote."
