Ex-Trump National Security Advisor Bolton says will write-in vote for Dick Cheney as president

"Age is no longer a factor in American presidential politics, so his age doesn’t disqualify him," Bolton said about Cheney.

Former national security adviser John Bolton said that he would be writing in former Vice President Dick Cheney for the 2024 election for the second time.

“Well, I might as well say it now. I voted for Dick Cheney,” said during a CNN interview earlier this week. “And I’ll vote for Dick Cheney again this November.”

When pressed to go into further detail, Bolton said he believed Cheney would do a better job then President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

"Because he was a principled Reaganite conservative, and he still is," Bolton said, according to Yahoo News. "Age is no longer a factor in American presidential politics, so his age doesn’t disqualify him."

Cheney served as vice president to former President George W. Bush and was a congressman from Wyoming.

Bolton served under Trump as national security adviser before being fired in 2019.
