Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly raised $40 million following the Democratic National Convention, bringing her total fundraising haul to $540 million as of Sunday.

Harris's fundraising eclipsed that of the GOP nominee, former President Donald Trump, who collected less than $139 million in July, NPR reported.

The Harris campaign did not offer fundraising totals for each night during the four-day nomination convention in Chicago that ended Thursday night.

ActBlue, a Democratic fundraising platform, reportedly raised $13 million on Monday, $16.5 million on Tuesday, $23 million on Wednesday, and nearly $37 million on Thursday.

ActBlue reported receiving over $7 million from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. ET on Thursday after Harris accepted the Democratic Party's nomination.

The Harris campaign reported "unprecedented grassroots donations" during the DNC. One-third of donations reportedly came from first-time contributors. Women comprised most of these donors, and young voters accounted for one-fifth.
