Georgia Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker continues to defend against allegations he paid for an ex-girlfriend's abortion, saying Democrats have "woken a grizzly bear."

"It's a lie," Walker reiterated on Tuesday to Fox News.

Walker, a former NFL and University of Georgian football star, has repeatedly denied accusations that he paid for an abortion over 10 years ago and he has even said he will file a defamation lawsuit in response.

The unverified accusation was made last week by a women who reportedly is a ex-girlfriend.

Democrats are "coming up with anything they can come up with," said Walker, who's in a close race in his bid to unseat Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock on Nov. 8.

An Atlanta Journal-Constitution/Georgia News Collaborative poll released Wednesday shows Walker is 3 points behind Warnock.

"They don’t realize that they’ve woken a grizzly bear," Walker said about the allegations. "Now they['ve] got a fight on their hand. Before I was just going to beat them by a little bit. Now I’m going to beat them by a lot."

Walker's son, conservative influencer Christian Walker, tweeted last week that his father was "not a 'family man' when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence."

When asked about his son's comments, Walker told Fox: "I hope they’re paying him a little bit. But I love him to death."
