A Pennsylvania man this week was sentenced to half a decade of probation after admitting to having cast a ballot for then-President Donald Trump in the 2020 election by using his dead mother's identity.

Bruce Bartman claimed during his sentencing this week that he was "isolated last year in lockdown" and that he "listened to too much propaganda and made a stupid mistake."

Bartman was convicted on charges of perjury and unlawful voting. His conviction prohibits him from casting a ballot for the next four years.

He also reportedly used the identity of his deceased mother-in-law to register to vote, though he did not ultimately vote in her name.
