Illinois Republican Rep. Mary Miller plans to skip President Joe Biden's State of the Union address on Tuesday, she announced in an interview over the weekend.

Speaking on "Breitbart News Saturday," Miller said she had no desire to hear Biden tout falsehoods about his record. Biden will deliver the address on Tuesday evening, after which Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders will deliver the Republican reply.

"I will not be attending. I do not plan to show up to listen to him continue to lie," she said. "Whether it's the border... he's lied about our energy prices, saying he supports gas and energy... I can go on and on with his lies."

The Illinois Republican further highlighted alleged presidential lies regarding the administration's handling of myriad foreign policy issues, including those surrounding the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and amid concerns about Chinese espionage activities and land purchases.

"We are on a dangerous path, so we need to be aggressive and stop foreign land purchases, specifically farmland," she said. South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem and Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis have both called attention to the issue of Chinese land purchases near sensitive U.S. installations in recent weeks.

Miller's remarks come amid national scrutiny of the Biden administration's handling of an aerial incursion by a suspected Chinese spy balloon, which the military did not shoot down until it had entered airspace over the Atlantic Ocean, but still within the 12-mile distance from the coast so that it was over U.S. territorial water.
