New York Attorney General Letitia James has rejected a settlement offer from former President Donald Trump to end her ongoing fraud case against him.

James is also reportedly considering a separate suit against one of Trump's children, the New York Times reported, citing unnamed sources. The outlet did not specify whether Ivanka, Eric or Donald Jr. would be the target of the suit. All of them previously served in senior positions at the Trump Organization.

The New York Democrat, who is seeking reelection in November, previously deposed Eric Trump in October 2020 and issued subpoenas to Don Jr. and Ivanka in January of this year.

Her ongoing probe has sought to examine the organization's allegedly fraudulent valuations of its properties. Trump has denied any wrongdoing and alleged that James' probe is politically motivated.

The former president himself was the subject of a contempt order related to the probe for refusing to comply with a subpoena from James, though a judge lifted the order after he paid a $110,000 fine. He ultimately cited his Fifth Amendment rights, refusing to testify in the deposition.
